An adorable and cute mini P&P cast reunion with Mr. Bingley and Kitty Bennet all smile with dimples on? Aww, how did I miss these two together?! This is too cute not to post! Simon Woods (L) and Carey Mulligan (R) attended the 60th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards at the London Palladium last November 30, 2014 in London, England. (Photo by David M. Benett/Getty Images)

Wow, can't believe I've waisted so much time hoping, expecting, and searching for at least one new P&P reunion photo of  and Rosamund Pike during this recent awards season at red carpets and award shows, which they both attended. There. Was. NONE! Not even an accidental photo bomb, lol...Also, I was hoping either or both of these two ladies would bumped into Matthew Macfadyen when he was in LA during the Pre-Oscar party. Nothing. So, it's always the ones you least expect to get together, are the ones that would actually get together. Just look at that cute photo above of Simon and Carey! Now, that's a lovely P&P cast reunion. They were all smile and looked happy to see each other again after 10 years since they were last seen filming their P&P movie back in 2004.

The Enfield Hunting: Matthew Macfadyen Interview (via Sky Living Press Pack)
CHARACTER: Guy Lyon Playfair, 42
PROFILE: Paranormal investigator with experience in exorcisms

What attracted you to the project?Timothy Spall and Rosie Cavaliero, both of whom I’ve worked with before. I worked with Tim on a Stephen Poliakoff drama called Perfect Strangers, and I did Little Dorrit with Rosie for the BBC. It always comes down to the script, though, which was well-written, fascinating and properly scary.
Were they the sort of scripts you could just rattle through? That’s my litmus test, how quickly I can get through them. You know it’s a chore when you think, oh, I could be doing something else right now.
The Enfield Haunting isn’t just a jolty story about a mean poltergeist, either, is it?No, it’s nuanced and beautifully written. It’s not a documentary, but a dramatic retelling, so there are bits which are teased and pushed in certain directions for the purposes of telling a story. I love everything to do with Maurice and his daughter. If it hadn’t been so delicately handled, it could have been quite naff.
How much did you know about the Hodgson case before you signed on? I didn’t know anything about it and, stupidly, I didn’t read The House is Haunted, the book by Guy Lyon Playfair that the series is based on. I came straight from Ripper Street on to this and was a bit frazzled. They kindly organised for me to meet the real Guy, though, which was interesting.
What did you make of him? He’s in his 80s now and absolutely fascinating. It’s always daunting when you play someone who is real, although I’m not doing an impersonation, that’s not the gig. I’m just taking what I fancy. Saying that, I hope Guy isn’t too horrified at what he sees. I’ll have to write a letter of apology.
The Hodgsons’ story is very divisive. Some people believe them, others think they made the whole thing up. What’s your take? I have an open mind. I think the sensible stance to take in this situation is to be agnostic and go, I just don’t know. I’ve never experienced anything like it, but I know plenty of people who have and they’re not gullible. There was definitely something going on, it’s just unexplained. I’m certainly not in the ‘that’s all cobblers’ camp. That would be very short-sighted.
Going back to your character, how would you describe Guy? My Guy is not the same as the real Guy. He’s an odd bod, eccentric and posh. We wanted there to be a contrast with Maurice, so even though he’s quite geeky, there’s also something raffish about him. He rocks up in a velvet jacket and long hair. He’s not brilliant socially, though, especially with the kids. The real Guy was very fond of Janet and the rest of the family and he became good friends with Maurice.
What is Guy and Maurice’s relationship like? It’s fairly antagonistic at the beginning because Guy comes in under the pretence that he’s helping the Hodgsons out when, in fact, he’s been sent by the SPR, the Society for Psychical Research, to debunk it. Then he realises that something is indeed going on.
How impressed have you been with the younger members of the cast, especially Eleanor? We were talking about this the other day, the grown-ups that is. Eleanor and Fern [Deacon], who plays Margaret, are superb. They make me feel like an old ham. .
Did you find any aspects of the shoot particularly challenging? It hasn’t been challenging, it’s been fun because the writing is so good and you’re working with fantastic actors. Big scenes can be tough, like the time we shot a seven-page scene, but, then again, you tend to overthink shorter scenes. If you’re allowed to have a three or four-minute take, it feels like you’re doing a play. You forget the camera.
Talking of the camera, how did you feel about the man behind it, director Kristoffer Nyholm? He’s a great fella and has got the loveliest energy about him. You can tell he actually likes actors. He’s interested and wants to talk. The shoot never felt rushed, like we were being shoehorned into a certain block of filming.

The film tracks the story of the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement as they fought for the right to vote in Britain. Radicalized and turning to violence as the only route to change, they were willing to lose everything in their fight for equality. The pic centers on Maud (Mulligan), a working wife and mother who decides she must fight for her dignity both at home and in her workplace.
With the UK’s General Election coming up on May 7, and given that 9M women failed to vote in the 2010 election, there is a major campaign under way in Britain to get women to register by the April 20 deadline. In support of the movement, Pathé has released a new teaser trailer (above). “Never give up the fight,” Streep’s Emmeline Pankhurst tells Mulligan’s Maud.

Last night I did not expect to watch a random new episode of Call The Midwife's current Season 4 on PBS. I was just searching for a show to watch on TV and as I was browsing the various channels, I stumbled upon Call The Midwife. While I've heard of this series and I've seen an episode or two of the first season, it just wasn't my cup of tea. So, I never keep up with the show. To my surprise, I thought I saw P&P's very own Charlotte Lucas on CTM! I mean, Claudie Blakley on this show's newest episode! I made a quick IMDB check to see if my eyes are not deceiving me and if she was actually on this show...sure enough, she was, indeed! And was listed in at least this one episode as a guest star. So, I ended up watching this show and was glad I did as I actually enjoyed watching her character's own interesting storyline. She played the character Susan Robbins, who is married and was expecting their first child. Her husband, unfortunately, was giving her undue pressure to bear a son. She appeared for the most part of this episode, which was a pleasant surprise, and I loved the last scene she appeared in. You'll have to watch the episode (or scroll down this post) to see what I mean.

Watch the full episode 4 (while it still available to stream on Call The Midwife's website) or watch it on the embedded videos with synopsis of the episode and some screen captures of CB's character Susan Robbins below...

Episode #4.4
Sister Winifred’s eyes are opened to Poplar’s seedy underworld when she cares for an expectant prostitute. Meanwhile, Barbara struggles to understand why an expectant father would put undue pressure on his wife to bear a son, and Sister Monica Joan feels redundant as the busy midwives go about their work. The bishop’s meeting with Tom leads to an argument between Trixie and Tom.

Speaking of Claudie Blakley, it's been a while since I last saw her on TV. So, it was a very pleasant and wonderful surprise to see her on last night's CTM episode. While checking IMDB last night, I noticed that she has a couple more guest appearances this year on the following TV series

Director Joe Wright expressed his appreciation. “As you might expect, the fantastical story of Peter Pan involves very complex effects, and I did not want to compromise on quality in finishing the film,” he said in a statement. “This allows me and my team the time to complete the movie and tell the story the way it should be told.”

By moving Pan out of the summer, the studio takes it out of a summer tentpole-cluttered season, which includes both Terminator Genisys and Ted 2 in June along with Ant-Man in July and the kid-friendly Minions from Universal, which would have bowed one week before.

It will compete that October weekend now with Universal Pictures’ Steve Jobs, which stars Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen. The only other picture is Relativity’s tentatively titled Kidnap.

Also, here's another FFTMC featurette video via EW.comFar From the Madding Crowd exclusive: Meet Carey Mulligan's suitors

In this exclusive 4-minute featurette, we are introduced to Bathsheba Everdene (Mulligan), a tough, feisty landowner in 19th century England. And we meet the three very different men—played by three very different actors—that are vying for her affection. First is the virile soldier Frank Troy (Tom Sturridge), whose bright red uniform is a sure sign of heat and danger. Then there’s Bathsheba’s middle-aged neighbor, William Boldwood (Michael Sheen), tiptoeing awkwardly around his own feelings for her. And finally Gabriel Oak (Matthias Schoenaerts), a humble shepherd whose proposal of marriage is rejected in an early scene, but who continues to crisscross with Bathsheba as the story goes on. The clip features interviews with all four actors, in addition to Vinterberg and screenwriter David Nicholls, who puts it best when he says, “We wanted to provide Bathsheba with a difficult choice.” Indeed they did.

Far From the Madding Crowd, based on Thomas Hardy’s classic romantic novel, opens in limited release on May 1.

According to Ace ShowbizOscar Nominee Rosamund Pike (image from Gone Girl | The Spark book via Amazon) is going to headline and star in a true-story movie, The Spark, about a mother who helps her young son overcome his autism and leads him to become a genius. Read more info. about the movie via Ace Showbiz below...

Fresh off her critically-acclaimed portrayal as a psychopath in David Fincher's "Gone Girl", Rosamund Pike books a lead role in "The Spark". Adapted from Kristine Barnett's memoir, it centers on a mother and her relationship with her autistic son Jacob.
When Barnett was told Jacob may never be able to tie his own shoes, she knew that she had to step in and make a difference in her son's life. Against the advice of her husband, she pulled Jacob out of special education classes and worked with him to defy the odds of Autism controlling his life. The child would grow up to become a quantum physicist before the age of 13.

According to Tracking Board, the true-story pic was initially developed by Warner Bros. under the title "Scattered Skills", but it is now moving forward at Relativity Media. Michael Cunningham is set to write the script based on the best-selling book "The Spark: A Mother's Story of Nurturing, Genius, and Autism".
Speaking of Rosamund, she's going to be very busy filming movies again, which is good. I'm already interested and looking forward to this movie, if indeed, she's confirmed to star on this one. Here are her upcoming and in development films via her current IMDB filmography list...
